Admission to Year 7 is based upon LEA policy. The LEA cannot guarantee that a place will be available at a school of parental preference.
You are strongly advised to read the LEA's own description of its policy before making any decisions.
Where demand for places exceed the number of places available, the Local Authority will allocate places in the following priority order:
- Children in public care.
- Children who live within the catchment area.
- Children who have an older brother or sister in the school in the September in which enrollment is required.
For this purpose, a brother or sister may be a full or a step-brother or a full or step-sister, living at the same address, at the time of admission.
- Other children.
