- Successful bid to Royal Society Partnership Grants to fund a school weather station.
Data will be used for projects in Y7 Sci Club, Y8 ICT, Y9 Geography, Y10 Geography and Science.

- Successful bid to the Society for Popular Astronomy (SPA) for a school refracting telescope. Partnership with local astronomer(s), and use by Y7 Science Club, Y10 & 11 Science and other partners. Telescope expected in March.
- Part of the Manchester Gateway, through Manchester University, to raise the awareness of higher education. Targeted at Y7 through to Y10 (Aim Higher cohort).
- Photography club utilising our recently refurbished darkroom to ‘develop’ pupils skills with B&W wet photography. Y7 & 8.
- Regular use of external practitioners to enhance learning opportunities within the curriculum. Currently working with a Physiotherapist, Paramedic, Paediatric Nurse and Dentist. Recently worked with Sean MacCarren, international Olympic and World Cup snowboard coach.
